Great post. Often people join the wrong group and you've explained some of the reasons why it might happen. Perhaps a lack of research is the reason. I prepared an article on five things to think about before you join a group. Strictly speaking, it refers to groups for generating leads yet, upon reflection, the points may be valid for all types of business networking.
